Celebrating a Niche Customer Segment Builds Buzz, Fandom and a Sold-out, Limited Edition Product

The Challenge

Corto Olive Co., which produces the finest and freshest California extra virgin olive oil enjoyed by professional chefs and consumers alike, turned to Dadascope, its longtime PR partner, to:

  • Showcase Corto’s long-term commitment, leadership, and support of women pizzamakers and pioneers

  • Execute an integrated consumer-facing campaign to:

    • demonstrate the brand’s ongoing support of pizzaiolas and build goodwill with the industry and consumers  

    • create opportunities to raise awareness for Corto 

    • generate incremental product sales

The Approach

Dadascope executed a two-tiered campaign focused on building bonds with the industry and consumers:

  1. Camp Corto, June 2023 — Designed and produced by Dadascope, Camp Corto cemented relationships with top pizzaiolas, bringing them together for two days of education, inspiration and bonding.

  2. For the Love of Pizza Kit/Women’s Pizza Month, March 2024 — Developed and executed with Corto and its marketing partners, the limited-edition For the Love Pizza kit was launched in concert with Women’s Pizza Month. To maximize PR value, we integrated a scholarship for up-and-coming pizzaiolas and a partnership with Christy Alia, respected pizzaiola and founder of Women’s Pizza Month.
